Indiana Biosciences Research Institute Named a Central Indiana Top Workplaces Winner

May 11, 2026

Indianapolis (May 11, 2026) — The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) has been recognized as a 2026 Central Indiana Top Workplaces award winner by the Indianapolis Star. The award is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a confidential third-party survey administered by Energage LLC.

The survey measures several aspects of workplace culture including employee support, professional growth, feelings of inclusion, alignment with organizational mission and values, and overall engagement. Notably, 91% of IBRI employees report feeling that their jobs are meaningful and 93% report that they feel appreciated at work.

“At IBRI, our people are the foundation of everything we do,” said Alan Palkowitz, PhD, President and CEO of IBRI. “Scientific innovation depends on collaboration, curiosity, and a shared sense of purpose. We are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to make an impact.”

Beth Slusser, Senior Director of Human Resources at IBRI, said that the survey serves as an important tool for understanding the employee perspective and strengthening the organization over time.

“What makes this recognition especially meaningful is hearing directly from our employees about their experience,” said Slusser. “The survey gives us valuable insight into what we are doing well and, more importantly, where we can continue to improve. We’re proud of the environment we’ve built and remain committed to supporting our team as we continue to grow and evolve.”

This recognition reflects IBRI’s continued investment in building an organization where talented teams can collaborate effectively to accelerate translational research and improve human health.
