The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) has a Metabolic Core Lab designed for the purpose of investigating phenotypes of mouse models of human diseases that include diabetes, diabetic complications, obesity and related disorders.

The lab uses the TSE System metabolic caging for up to 16 mice that includes indirect calorimetry, food and water intake and activity measurements.
