Indiana Biosciences Research Institute Facilities Master Plan Under Way; Browning to Serve as Strategic Adviser

The Indiana Biosciences Research Institute announced today that Indianapolis-based Browning will serve as its strategic real estate and facilities adviser, developing a comprehensive master plan that will guide both near-term temporary and longer-term permanent space needs.
The plan will be developed in partnership with various Institute stakeholders, including industry, university, State and community leaders, and provide a roadmap for all facility needs, which will include temporary space for Institute start-up and one or more locations for long-term operations.
As part of its planning process, Browning will work with Indianapolis-based design firm BSA LifeStructures, which has been named the Institute’s temporary space design partner. Browning also will assist the Institute in identifying additional resources, including real estate, development and construction professionals, to implement projects identified in the master plan. Given its role as the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute strategic real estate and facilities adviser, Browning will not serve as the developer or contractor in connection with the facilities identified in the strategic plan.

Browning serves as a real estate adviser for a number of significant Indiana projects, including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s master plan, Purdue Research Foundation’s comprehensive campus master plan and the implementation of the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority’s master plan for Lawrence Village.
