How do you know if your startup qualifies?

Startups with a primary focus on therapeutics or diagnostics relating to neurodegenerative and neuromuscular research, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, are preferred, while those with oncology or immunology areas of focus will be considered. Candidates from underrepresented backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply.

An application form must be completed along with a nonconfidential summary in PDF format with the following information:

Mission statement and description of leadership team.
Description of targeted market and unmet need along with data generated and scientific progress to date.
Description of total funding at the time of application.
Anticipated benefits of winning the Quantum Leap Award, including use of prize money.
Letter of Intent to commit to moving into the IBRI incubator space no later than Jan. 1, 2024.

Applications will be scored in three categories:

Strength of strategic alignment/fit with Roche's and the IBRI's areas of interest.
Scientific innovation.
Company feasibility.
