Rui Wang-Sattler, PhD, is a group leader at the Institute of Translational Genomics, Helmoltz, in Munich, Germany.
Her group aims to improve personalized health care by integrating OMICs data using statistical, bioinformatical and machine learning approaches. Specifically, they focus on:
- Development of methods to standardize OMICs data.
- Discovery/validation of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.
- Biological elucidation of biomarkers (i.e., type 2 diabetes and its complications).
- Pharmacometabolomics (i.e., metformin).
