Welcome to the IBRI’s revamped website

IBRI scientist page on mobile

The new Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) website is here, providing a more streamlined experience for scientists, researchers, other partners and community members looking for information about our solutions, possible collaborations, upcoming events and more.

Our revamped website features significant upgrades in technology, content and design that you’ll love, including:

  • Up-to-date, comprehensive information about our labs, our scientists and their current research projects.
  • Inspiring stories about our recent innovations and findings.
  • Easy-to-use directories to help you find the right person.
  • Details about collaboration and employment opportunities.

With sleek design features and new custom photography, the IBRI's updated website also provides a better user experience for people using mobile devices. Read on to learn more about our redesigned website from our director of communications and engagement, Lisa Soard.

Soard takes you behind the scenes and highlights some of the successes of the IBRI’s website redesign project. Her responses—below—have been condensed for length.

Why did the IBRI redesign its website?

Soard: Our new President and CEO Alan Palkowitz, PhD, brought a revitalized strategy to the institute that was not accurately reflected in our previous site, which had been designed more than five years ago. We needed a new, modern website that is easy to navigate, vibrant and dynamic.

It’s great to see the new face of the IBRI. The revitalized website represents who we are and where we're headed.”—Alan Palkowitz

What new features are you most excited about and think that users like the most?

Soard: Users have told me they appreciate many aspects of our site’s new life sciences web design. Specifically, some of the most popular features include our interactive strategy graphic, robust collection of scientific resources, redesigned lab pages, expanded content about working at the IBRI and living in Indianapolis, and the info about how to reserve space in our labs and conference center.

“Our team members and stakeholders love the new website and - even better - we're seeing more prospective collaborators making inquiries through the site.”—Lisa Soard

What’s next?

Soard: The IBRI is working with its web design agency TBH Creative to incorporate even more enhancements to our new site. We’ll be adding:

  • Videos to scientists’ bio pages
  • Interactive maps related to our research to collaborators’ pages
  • Testimonials and success stories
  • SEO-related refinements
  • Social sharing tools
